Connection Interruption while gaming

Ive been getting connection interruptions while playing Call of duty 4 and World at War (They're the only games i play online so im not sure about others).

The wireless signal strength is always 4/5 bars, so it doesn't seem to be a wireless problem.

Anyone had any experience with this problem?

Ive had problems now and then when i had XP but nothing major. Not i have vista, and it used to be fine, no problems at all.

Then i started to get them frequently, and i thought it was because i installed SP1, but i had to reformat, and ive had SP1 installed for about a month and its only just started again, so i don't think its because of that.

i don't think it has to do with you windows OS at all.

windows or a software like a anti-virus program downloads update it can take up bandwidth make the game connection go down hill. or some one on another computer on same network is downloading a file this too can take up bandwidth too

auto updates will always take up bandwidth for any software. winamps, windows, real player, quicktimes, anti-virus, anti-adware, all can take up bandwidth .........ect

Its not the bandwidth, the connection is being dropped. When it happens, i time out playing COD, disconnected from Xfire and MSN, and no pages load in firefox.

no connection.

It could be the internet connection dropping. If the wireless drops it should pop up and say that you lost the connection. If the internet drops you may not see anything say that.
