check out what im building.

got the parts on order but will post pics when i start.

specs...... AMD 64bit dual core processor running at 2.80ghz, MSI motherboard with 2GB DDR memory upgradable to 4GB, 2x120GB SATA HDD, ATI Radeon X1900XTX 512MB PCIe woth Dual DVI, 2xDVD Write drives 1xCD/rom/writer and 1 floppy, Starlight case with a 400w powersupply , and Win XP PRO.

still havnt picked out a moniter yet.


well what ya think? think it will play doom3 smoothly? lol.

the mother board specs are

MSI motherboard with 2GB DDR memory upgradable to 4GB

there is a newer type of memory cards to look for MOB DDR2 and some i seen can do 2948mb DDR2 cards.

think DDR2 or DDR3 are the new boys on the block.

DDR is old stander and slower in some ways

That is a DDR2 MB chief.. it say's Socket AM2 on the MB picture.

lol . ya might be right on the power consumption, ill look and see if i can find me a good high output power supply.

if it was a good brand then it might be just ok. but the chances are that if it comes with the case then it's poor quality and might not have the 6-pin connector that the 1900 needs.

howdy, just saying hi and testing out me new computer, will run DOOM 3 on ultra settings and DFX with the graphics turned all way up. works gooooood lol.
