mapmaking df1

hi all i want to make some maps for df1
to make maps on df2 its easy with the df2med!!
but i follow the steps on the website for mapmaking df1
and there seems no file to be working here
can i get some help please?
i allready got the updatd version of df1med but it doesnt seem to work

What does not work about the med? Are you using the map fix after creating the map?

I assume your talking about getting the maps to show up in df1 on the df1med2?

I just had a play with the DF1 med and noticed the color map is missing in lots of them.
I used the PFF to extract the _c.pcx files, convert them to .tga and drop them back into the DF1 folder, add the /d to the med.exe

Slow way to go about it but it works properly now.
