IC Medic Mod

I recently had to purchase a new PC with Windows 7. So I have installed all JO CD's mods, patches, etc. up to the IC mods to enable playing the IC medic Mod. I have the icon for IC medic mod, but unable to open it. It appears to briefly display a DOS command, but will not open or start the game. All installs are in the C:\Program Files (x86) NovaLogic\Joint Operations Typhoon Rising. After installing all of the above numerous times on the old XP PC without difficulty, I am wondering if Windows 7 is not user friendly to Joint Operations.
Thank you for any advice,

Have you tried running the setup and/or game as an administrator? Also try to disable UAC to see if that works.

Yes, as Scott says UAC is often an issue.

Also you could try installing outside of Program Files (x86) to avoid security or admin issues that may be blocking your game.

Example under C:\Games\Novalogic\*

That's how I get out of a lot of problems with many sorts of software besides games, especially older vintages.

Also check that the shortcut has the correct startup params, I really don't see why you should be seeing a comand prompt to run that game unless it's starting from a batch file.

Example, the shortcut could be pointing to ICmod.bat

If it is, please consider copying and pasting the file contents here and we'll see what's up.
