Locked Map

I made a map, I'm able to play it but when I try to look for it so I can share it I can't find it in my DFLW folder, I notice that when I'm looking at it in the editor there is a "golden lock", the maps that don't have it I'm able to see on the DFLW folder, desperate to be able to share my maps, can anyone help?

Thanks.

Hello, I had the same problem when I made maps for DF2. What I did was I open the mapmaker and click "file" in the top to the left. Then "export binary mission" and I click the map that i wanted to share then deleted it so it got to the trashcan in Swedish papperskorgen. Then when I open the trashcan i could drag the bms (mymap) to desktop and put in in a winrar archive.

I can't assure you that this will work. Your map could vanish.. But make a test map and save it as bms file then delete it to see if it works. I don't know any other way.. If anyone know a better way please also tell me

You may have had the file stored elsewhere or made it whilst logged in as another user.

The padlock is windows saying the file comes from another computer or account.

Try one of these solutions:

1. Move the file to the desktop

2. Try opening the map in another account or user if you have one.

3. Right click the map file and select Properties| Security| Edit then change permissions to include your account or user group. (reboot)

4. Turn off User Account Control (reboot)

5. Make sure you set the game type in the map to the correct type - SP will not show in the multiplayer game list and visa versa.
