For example there is a game which needs at least Intel Core 2 Duo with 2 GHz clock speed. I have pentium 4 with 3 GHz speed. It needs 1GB RAM, and I also have 1 GB ram. All the other requirements are fulfilled. So, will that game run?

One more query. Will I get playable framerate if i play games like Watchmen the end is nigh, wanted weapons of fate, Dragon age origins,etc with the above mentioned specs and gforce 8400gs?

Already I know it's going to be low regardless, an 8400 is deep on the low side.

Check the box before handing over the cash, seems dumb to spend $$$'s on a $$ game,
but to some, is a good excuse to upgrade.
