i talk to Mike at Novalogic, inc they do have something in the work, but will not tell me anything more about it at all. reason was they don't wish to leak it out.

think DF: Xtreme was a after thought to renew the older games so they can make some who love them old games be happy and maybe they drop them old servers off.

person i like to play Sci fi games now days reason tire of the war type WWII or real life war type games. Halo love to hear "oh no not again" (on a bad guy AI) as i toss a grenade on the alien body.

You might have missed something then, DF2 was a really big hit in the time then. 1 of the best games around from that period, and yet they decided to bring out 4!! more titles... and now DF:X (ok 2 titles and 2 expansions).
If i recall right LW and TFD werentmet hat good, but BHD instead was top of the bill again for a few months..

imo, i think they will drop. I mean if they where going to keep it, then why even make JO? They made a big deal out of it and when it came out, it was not as nearly as big as they wanted it to be so they made dfx sorta as a prototype to see how that went.( i liked dfx acually, didnt play much of it though). There were lots of bugs in it and was only $20, should of upped the price. I think the future games are going to get worse and worse because they really dont have their own style. In the df2 and LW days, yes they did. But then they released JO, which was a huge copy of the bf series but much worse game play. IDK, if they keep going the route they are on, they will not be around mcuh longer. I think they should just stop there they are and start from scratch and really take their time. Reflect back on the older games like df1, df2, lw, ect and see how and why it made it such a big success. Maybe take some suggestions from their customers. Well, i hope they get their act together because i really liked the old days of nw games.
