10Meg is $57 here.

Lame part is the upload is still capped at 896k, weak line provider.

If I move to a Utopia town we can get 30Meg for $40 a month.

This sucks. I have like a 15k upload and a 128/256k download speed, topped off with a 3gb cap, then it drops back to 56k...

...for $40 bucks.

You'd be suprised how fast that gets drained...

Qwest offers a 20mb dsl here but it is like $100 a month.

If I move to a Utopia area I can get up to 100MB/S PURE FIBRE POWA!

16x2mbps here and I pay $0/mo, no restrictions. Work pays for it all. They offer 50x5 in my area now for the same price but i'd need to purchase the modem for $150. I would go for it but I just don't think I need it as I don't really download much and the places I download from I don't even get my 16 megs worth. I don't think i've ever seen over 750kb/s on a torrent.

couldn't of imagined having too much bandwidth a year or 2 ago tbh. shame that there is only on cable company in the UK, or things would be even cheaper and the adsl providers would have to pull their finger out. i believe BT are gettin ghelp from the government to upgrade the whole country phone / comms structure. should be good in a few years time.

> 750kb/s

first file i tried

lucky! I never get that. I haven't downloaded a torrent in months but I usually get like 30kb, unless i'm downloading something like linux, then I get good speeds.

There are only 2 real interent providers where I live: Qwest (DSL) and Comcast (Cable) so don't feel bad, it's like that all over in the states too. DSL in my area sucks so cable is my only option...

I think the fiber is only available in 50MBps Download / 50MBps Upload here. There's a cap of 500GB per month. It is $60 a month.
