respawns
Is there any way to get your man to respawn underground, say in a tunnel? On my new map if you die you respawn on top of the tunnel system and not in the tunnel system (i have set the w/p underground in the tunnel system).

yes, it's a very annoying bug, try this:
Put a 3D area trigger on top of the Tunnel, at the ground level, in the respawn area. Then put a Teleport Target inside the tunnel. And then set an event that teleport the player if he stands at the area trigger The event will look like this: IF SSN 10000 is withing area [areatriggernumber] THEN Teleport SSN 10000 to target [teleporttargetnumber] That will make the player teleport back into the tunnel if he respawns outside of it. I'm not sure you can teleport in multiplayer for DFX. I know it don't work in BHD the only one able to teleport is the host.
If the map is tunnels only, just put the tunnels above the ground, and use dockslabs for for ground for any outside enclosure. If tunnels can't be above ground there isn't much that can be done unless the teleport actually works. However there are a few things I have used/seen in other DF games Rotating(or pitching) the tunnel pieces 90 degrees so it breaks the surface so when the player spawns and is popped to the surface they fall back in. Using several spawns each one with a different group number. I'm not 100% certain this worked in MP. When I tested it as host it worked and I was told it worked, but this was for DFLW. I think I tried it in BHD & it didn't work, but I don't recall for sure |
