I have had much better luck with AMD systems than intel. Seems that AMD runs faster even though Intel says it has a higher clock speed.

i am running Pent 4 1400mhz.

but i can't say about AMD hear it can do a lot better you can run more software or doing many more thing then Pent 4 family can do.

Pent 4 it like you run one item at a time only.

AMD you can run more like 2-4 item without getting bog down any. at lease that what i hear anyways. it a blast
===========================================
my aunt has Winows Xp Pro AMD 2.8mhz system, her system running like crazy i hear the HHD burning or running all the time and writing to it, red light blinking off and on like crazy. it don't seem to rest any. no drawback i can name of? never crash she had it for a year now.
