1st Day of Autumn
Livewire welcomes tthe 1st day of Autumn!
I love the "fall" or , Autumn as some call it. I like hearing the wind blow the colorful leaves down from the trees...and the look of the woods after they have fallen. The ground looks like a carpet of leaves and the skeletons of trees reach out in every direction..

The Autumn Equinox is one of the Four Quarter Days of the year. It marks a major mid-point of two of the seasons - even though Autumn officially starts on this day, in the Celtic Calendar, it marks the mid-point of the season of harvest which began at Lughnasad and ends at Samhain. Gathering in the fruits of our labors. The Holi/Holy days around this time reflect this reality. In the United Stated, Labor Day - the first Tuesday after the first Monday in September - marks the beginning of the Autumn Equinox season.

I love this time of year too bro....fall/autumn a time of mounrful mists and lowering sunsets but all the more lovely for it!!!!

w00t autumn, its the half break from what some may cool hot weather, we didnt get much this year, but its getting colder here now

lol steve thats me all over... hate the heat, hate the rain... but i gotta say... im slightly more partial to the snow and cold coz at least u can dress up warm!!! wen its cold u just gotta sweat and bare it

I have always said the same thing myself...You can dress for cold weather..but the heat is unmanageable...you could run around naked...but you'd just get burned all over...

i cant stand cold, much prefer my 55 degree days over 13 degree days any day of the week.
