JO:E Sponsored Mapping Contest

NovaLogic and Nova-Inside have decided to hold a Joint Operations: Escalation mapping contest.
So if you want to win some cool goodies and you're good at map making, then this is your chance!

Quick information:

• The map(s) should be made for the game: Joint Operations: Escalation.
• We accept all kinds of JO:E gametypes.
• All map(s) must be designed with NovaLogic's Internal Level Editor (NILE).
• All submitted maps must include a screenshot and description.
• The Nova-Inside Joint Operations: Escalation mapping contest begins at November 26th 2004 and ends at Januari 9th 2004.
• Winners will be announced at Januari 23th 2004.

How to upload your custom designed Joint Operations: Escalation map(s):

• All contesters have to be a registered user at Nova-Inside.
• To submit your map(s) for the contest go to the Map Upload Section at Nova-Inside.
• All submitted map(s) must include a screenshot and description.
• Multiple Joint Operations: Escalation map submissions per registered user are allowed.
• To see all submitted maps go to the JO:E Map Section at Nova-Inside.

What are the prizes:

• There are 5 prizes in total to win.
• Only one winner or qualifier per family or household will be allowed.

i looked at this & thought, cool, might have to fall out with the missus & spend some time in NILE.......but the prizes aren't as flash as I expected lol,

out of interest elb and sgt, what would you suggest as prizes for a competition like this? (serious question - not sarcasm)

well i would say a complete NILE editor computer so you get the full potential out of it, but thats a bit over the top since ALL Fan / Resource sites still are volunterely. So these prizes would do for me.

I really dont care if i win a prize with mapmaking, i just do it for fun. And if the maps i make are rated well that just nice to have.
I like those maps with really big custom made buildings etc. but at the end of the story the map has to playable and not glitchy.

I'd say gift vouchers for a reputable online PC parts supplier is a good start, but its getting them
Really i guess its gotta be a case of seeing what u can get i spose..........

Having said that I did actually enter lol, i think you'll probably find that if a map maker makes a new map he/she will probably upload it anyhow if there's a comp going on at the time..........

Another prize could be something like 2 or 3 months with the mappers name on the mainpage announcing their win for all to see
