hi, have you recieved the files yet? i sent them yesterday.
sorry, what i meant was that i can implement models from C4 to BHD. the colour files, .dds, i couldn't find, so you can have C4 models in BHD and soon enough you can have the colours for the models

katana, gimme your e-mail so i can send the files to you. You'll need the New Demo Terrain so there will be no need to pack the files.

I was wondering the same thing! Aren't items added via ITEMS.DEF?

as far as i know the items.def is assigning characteristics to the items that are set in the .exe so the helo's will be one the people wil be another etc etc.

huh?
okay....heres how
1. the items.def file i'm using is from the C4BHD MED. It already has the C-130 and the buildings that i was using in them
2. i extracted the new demo terrain and the latest MED into the BHD folder. Then i replaced the items.def with the one of C4BHD MED.

to the get the models
1. i extracted the .3di files in the .pff along with the .dd files and .dds. I added them to the BHD folder. the new demo terrain will not need anything to be packed so i just left files as it is
2. in the C4BHD MED items.def file, the files names are give, e.g. for the C-130 in vehicles, it is named FC-130. this corresponds with the .3di file from C4, therefore it is FC-130.3di
3. i added them to a new map and WALA!

note* the new demo terrain runs the files off the folder as long as it is named corresponding names to those in the items.def

Hey Katana dont know your connection or anything. But I purchased that game when it first came out installed it once didnt like it. Never play it or anything. If you want I could send you some of the files to play with if you like. The PFF files are kindof big so you kindof want a fast connection or just leave the dl running. Ill zip what you want. Let me know

ok try reducing them to 75% or 50% it may reduce it enough to fit under the 51k limit

um...i have not tried to mess with weapon mods...
the C4 models work because it was easy for me to set up...all i really did was extract the files and place them in my BHD folder. The model files names happen to correspond to those in the C4-BHD MED's items.def

i guess it would be quite easy to add weapons as all i need is the weapon's .3di file and its textures e.g. .dd
then i have to do then is name them the same names as those in demores.pff

i can try this if anyone could tell me any .3di editors and .dd editors...

btw, does my models work on your BHD?

they don't the only people who have done that is terranova who converted the df2 3di's to LW 3di'scause they were in different layout, what some people do is edit the skins which are just pic files.
