splash splash

I was making a map and needed a big flat spot. Using the V9TE MED (not that it much matters, since I've experienced this before without it), I sank the water level to zero and built my map as normal, where the water used to be. The map came out fine, looks great, but when I run on the grass it sounds like I'm splashing through water, and bullets hitting the ground make a splash. Is there a way to eliminate this? It doesn't hurt gameplay I suppose, but it's pretty annoying and you can hear me coming...

go into general options and change the water level to 0. if its at 0 change it to a negative number such as -10
