picky on uper/lower case "Red Hat Linux 9"
i just upgraded my web server to Red Hat Linux 9 and i have had no problems to speak of with it but it is really picky about uper/lower case in URL's.. is there anyway to change this??
EX: if you but in http://24.158.37.186/Sigs/1/novazonebx.jpg it will work fine BUT if you dont CAP the S in sigs it wont work... EX: http://24.158.37.186/sigs/1/novazonebx.jpg ^^ see that is going to get on my nerves... [i added "Red Hat Linux 9" to it so others will jump on it"]

Linux is a proper operating system. Windows sucks. .
Have fun with a great web server now it will be much more stable. And you might be able to fix that with some write aroudn or mod for apache, but i have NO idea how you would go abotu doing so. Regards -- Linux owns (Mandrake here)

make sure your user has access rights to the databse....
I mean with mandrake i just popped in the discs (burned the iso's off the net) and selected the server type install + some other stuff i needed onto apache (like php and mysql), and as soon as it booted up I had a web server running. PHP, MySQL, etc.... i think the default user/pass for mysql is user: root pass: (blank) Regards -- Also why are you using redhat? why not use Fedora Core?
