Need help jo not working

Im kind of mad because whenever I download Jotr now for some reason it will just play the intro video and then the screen will turn black and it will close the whole game. I even did a full sweep on the computer and when I install it it does it again.. I have no idea why its not working is there a patch I can use or something Please help! Thanks

if you downloaded the game online from some place there not much we can do for it.

OH lol No Im not retarded.. I meant when I put the game on the computer from the disc (combined arms) It only plays the intro movie and then screen turns black and program closes out so I cant play the game So what should I do?

I have direct x but do I have to put it in a particular folder?

the cds should give you a direct X when u install it
