NEVER get a ipod

i prefer ipods over other mp3's because u can actually select what u want to listen to, most other mp3s are just set on shuffle.

i use my ipod when i do to the gym, i have a hook up and i listen to it in my car, have multiple playlists to listen to depending on my mood, mine has solitare and other games on it and junk. the new ipod holds music videos, others hold pictures n junk

that makes more sence. I havent looked at the prices recently, but the last time I saw them they were very expensive

I hate apple, I just want to throw that out there. Macs suck big time. Now that's off me chest

I do like my ipod mini though. I have to walk or ride a bike everywhere on campus, so it's nice to have tunes I can carry around and keep me company during my walks or rides. It's better than a cd player because it can hold more, but also because it can't skip. It's also great for when I work out.

It's big enough that I can store all sorts of music for every mood. I can hook it up to my stereo and play it through that, or even in the car.

I would have to say one of my favorite uses for it is the fact that it's a tiny 4 gig harddrive that I can use to transfer tons of files or backup stuff quickly.

Something I especially like about the minis is that their shell is thick metal (aluminum I assume). I've accidentally dropped mine a couple times and the worst thing that's happened is it's gotten scratched.

EDIT: You can put mp3's on there...you're not just stuck with iTunes music. So wherever you like to get mp3's from, they'll work on it.

the way i look at ipod is like a trend most of people (teens) buy one cause its cool to own one and most of the time they dont realy need one ... they use it for first couple months and after its just laying in their drawer somewhere unused... thats why ipod got so popular "cause everyone has one and i need to have it too"
u can buy cheap mp3 player and its gonna be more than enough for your hicking working out etc...

all tho it could be very handy some of the new cars is coming out with jacks that u can plug your mp3 player and litsen to your tunes in the car , like i have 15 gigs of music and with ipod i can have my whole music collection with me in the car .. other that, spending big bucks for ipod i think its stupid
