Anyway To Join Your Game?

Hey all, I am requesting help because I have a bro and we share a high speed connection on a home router so basically we have the same ip, I wanted to know is there a way to join your own ip? because my bro has a faster computer then mine so I will like him to host alot and I want to play but can't so I am stuck.

should be ok if you setup port forwarding correctly.

i'm not 100% sure what port LW uses, iirc it is 17478.

so have one PC e.g. the host on port 17478 and the other pc (yours) on port 17479.

:/ might work

You just need to configure the port forwarding to forward all traffic on the lw port to your brothers computer.

And the default port is 17478.

Then you join it just like you would any other server.

Wait in my router configuration I see: Virtual Server / Special AP / Packet Filter / Misc Items / Basic

Which would be port forwarding? I goto each but I am confused

Ok I went to the link above but they told me only the ports i need to run delta force, I put your port you guys put 17478, and I did the virtual server thing but it doesn't work still? should I put the port, 17478, then put my ip address or my bro? he is the one that will host games for delta force lw and df2.

Another thing that stops him from joining.

Here is another thing that will stop him from joining. I had the same problem, and wanted my old PC available for my grandson to play me when he is here. Yeah, I said grandson, lol. I did not know I had three Firewalls. 1. EZ Armor the one that I bought. 2. Windows XP built-in Firewall. 3. The built-in Router Firewall. All three have to be disabled or no one can join your site.
