ok like one ladder's description is "wooden 24m ladder"
then you have 3 that are like "modular 8m ladder"
ok ,
when you say modular it is usually like part of something and seeing as there are no ladders between 8m and 24m i was wondering with the 8m modular are you able to make a 16m ladder out of 2
thanks

what you need to do is set the Z-value and you can stack them. in dflw i made a ladder that was made up of like 10 reguler ladders.

ok i am getting what you are saying now but what plane factor in heigth is relevant to the plane factor of the second ladder you are tyring to add ex:
x=***
y=*****
z=*****
az=****
does one equal the height of the original? the that would be the base of the second...................right?

I am an expert ladder builder in DFTFD...some title huh...anyway due to the fact that the stock ladder is slanted at an angle if you will set the ladders pitch to 352 then copy it and past next ladder exactly on top of last and change the z value to second ladder to 4 it will make a ladder about twice as tall. You repeat the process over and over adjusting the z values in increments of 4 to get the desired height. It doesn't have to be 4 but works best for me.

Also I did a 26 ladder stack once to the top of a tower. If anyone tops that let me know so I can make it higher!!! lol

If you want a 16m ladder, use a 24m one and sink 8m of it into the ground using the "3D Wireframe" option. In case you don't understand what I'm talking about, this is how to do it.

1. Click the building to highlight it and then click the ladder so that that's highlighted as well.
2. Click the "3D Wireframe" button, hold down Shift while you hit the down arrow to reduce the height of the ladder. You'll see the ladder will be highlighted in yellow against a grey outline of the building you're placing it against.
Make sure that the top rung of the ladder sticks up above the level of the roof too. This will cause a player turn around so that he can climb down the ladder if it's too high to jump from the roof to the ground without dying.
