well obviously you like most of the world are misinformed. So let me educate you a lil bit.

Hackers are those that are or do the following:

those that gain entry into a system to see if they can but also to sometimes cause maliscious damage to said system or network. most often they are just curious about how the system is set up and being used and being used for.

Now there are generally speaking three categories of hackers within the community.

White hats: these guys do no harm and are curious. they generally report any and all exploits to the authors of the programs and will generally fix a network they have hacked into so that even they cannot get back into it or at a minimum notify the site admin of the problem and inform them how to fix it. definitely not the guys to create virii.

Grey Hats: these guys are exactly in between. they generally do no harm without good cause. they are not above receiving money for industrial espionage and generally will either inform authors of exploits or just keep them to themselves.

Black Hats: these are the guys you need to worry about. They are malicsious, canniving and generally your bad guys/girls. These are the one's to exploit a computer to do it harm. generally these days they are what is known as a script kiddie who uses other peoples scripts to get into a server to be maliscious about it. most maliscious activity these days is done in the form of web defacements (a form of online graffiti). These guys are also referred to within the community as CRACKERS.

i've been around the scene and the network security industry long enough to know what i am talking about. all i ask is that you use the correct term next time instead of blaming those who might be innocent which is what you did by saying "hackers."

generally those are known as "script kiddies"

they steal other crackers or hackers code and use it to gain entry into systems and then generally cause damage. They are also easily caught as they don't know how to cover their tracks.

Hackers is a generality, how did you know that this wasn't a "Black Hacker"? I am not going to go around and say ahh a "white hacker" got into my system and looked at my log files. I am going to say some freaking hacker tried to get into my system.

Scan of all local drives

1.) File name & location: C:\Documents and Settings\??user??\Desktop\Shortcuts\e-a20013.zip\start.exe is infected by Win32:Trojano-119 [Trj] - Deleted.
2.) File name & location: C:\pagefile.sys is infected by JS:Seeker-Gen - Deleted.

got it again think it came though the e-mail and some how it trasfer to a templ file system area. anyway it gone. going to do a bootup scan it works same way as safemod
