How do i activate the WAC files?

I've downloaded several maps that involves the wac files to be placed together with the mis or bis files. In the readme files that came with it explains how to properly install it. such as making the BH or humvees to move around. But the readme file is not clear enough. something about including the " \d" or something like that. can somebody provide me the details on how to make this right.

make a shortcut from ur bhd .exe file
right click on it
proprties
target
it will be something like "c:\program files\novalogic\black hawk down.exe"
change it so that is has " /d" at the end

"c:\program files\novalogic\black hawk down.exe" /d

Oh and dunno Animal_Mutha but if you do the /d anything in tha WAC file only you will see.No one else in the game will see it unless they download the map and wac file and put in the /d switch....

woooow! that'll be really freaky if i'm on a flying black hawk & fragging my buddies on a LAN game. (with WAC file on). Will it look like I'm actually flying on air and fragging em' with invisible hmg? I'm just curious. whatabout those moving humvees on wac files? will i look like i'm floating around with a 50mm?

will it lag for the other machines without the wac map downloaded? I'm running on LAN game though.

they will be able to see u flying in the helo, but they will not be able to get the events to work on their comp.

ohh cool. I'll make sure i'll host the game with a lil' advantage then. Anyway i've not tried it yet. i could only try this out this comin' weekend. And will let u know the results of the shortcut "alterations" that u've mentioned above... thanks loads SB!

just a thought - the others could possibly get a sys dump and be unable to play. i'm not sure - i don;t host but it could be possible. only thing u can do is try i guess
