need help wit Ftp i dont know how to put A TEMPLANT INTO THE WEB HOST

I would offer to help you, but as it stands ive asked you for a few favours over the last few years and, "cough", you couldnt be bothered.

Sup Morales, long time no see! How you been? Well you see ive made a temaplant but every time put the html code into the site it gives me a site flled with little red X's. What do i do?

the little red x's are images, if your using frontpage check that you havent referenced them to where they were on the computer, not where they are on your host in relation to the page

if u've made it with Photoshop or Imageready, you need to slice it. when you are done slicing, you need to go up to File> Save for Web> HTML & Images ( in the drop down menu ). Save it as whatever you want. It will save the slices/images into a folder/file called "images". find the template that you save, it will have a big E on it for internet explorer. Double click that. go to View>Source, copy the HTML code and paste it into the FTP client or webhost. Then upload the images and paste them where they need to go.

my problem is that im not good with images, making a layout is easy, but there is only so much you can do with solid colors and basic gradients

yeah..but..you don't have to be that good with images...most of them will either be small or not very big...except for the banner...thats probably the biggest image in the layout

but the whole site is madeby photoshop so its basicly a big red x

okay when you save the site as an HTM or HTML, it makes a folder with all the images in it, you have to upload that folder in the same dir as the htm file
