Sky problem

It seems its a problem with the 6xxx series nvidia cards that they dont like certain custom maps in BHD, BHD_TS. My son has to use the old 77.77 drivers that came with card to play, any newer and he has the same problem you are having, I fixed mine by adding second vid card in SLI and now i can run the latest drivers. I have friends that have simular problems with the 6800gt and 6600-256meg cards. You can find the older drivers at guru3d.com.

i have the exact some problem, and the same card too 6600GT

I'm gonna go install earlier drivers, would this effect my other games performance, like bf2 or css ?

The problem is the driver it self

If you use NVidia card try out driver version 77.72 from Nvidia.com

It solfed the problems for a lot off members

Thats what i have on my other computer, My Windows ME!I only use it for storing or for other stuff like messenger and chat really now.I use my good XP computer for gaming and all that good stuff.

well this is why this solution dus not work for me, because then i have problems with the newer games, and i cant keep reinstalling 2 different versions depending on what game i want to play at that time

looks like I'll have to just find some stock maps server to play on, or maps that dont use that particular sky

well the nidiva driver has a glitch problem i would go back to the old setting some thing like 83.35 or some thing i had to and i got the best card there is worth 2100$ i know it's dear but good Regards Lip A Girl.

Heres what worked for me after much trial and error
1. Unistall all the drivers for Ninvida in your control panel for add or remove it will ask you to restart do so
2. After restart go to www.nivida.com click on downloads then click on drivers select the driver for Geforce or TNT vid cards then select for your operating system(inregards Windows XP Home or Pro or what ever you system has) make sure you get Driver 91.47 Release date 8-11-2006 download and install
3. after your install and restart start you game BHD /TS in the options
slect video settings in their make sure your screen res is set to 800 by 600 bit depth at 32
also make sure all the other settings are set on HIGH excpet Difficulty leavel set on normal
4. Then join a server if you still have problems with the map not drawing right hit Ctrl+Alt+Delete this will bring you to the desktop once at desktop close down task maneger and click on BHD witch should be at the bottom of the taskbar this will bring you back in the game problem should be fixed .
I have two do this only when the map is smearing after doing this Once problem is gone till the next time I start BHD/TS or change servers yehaw i can see agian on the custom maps no more smearing

Dont know what causes it but its a simple fix

Just open the mission editor before you start the game.
