its easy to use and a lot of gamers like it.

click-on image above

1.) Anti-virus program (Avast!) reason> security
2.) Firewall Zone Alarm (ZoneLab) reason> security
3.) Anti-adware/spyware of some type. reason> security

update your windows OS is a must

if you like to have it all for free get Netscape it come with all for free included in their browser 8.1

antivirus, anti-adware/spyware, security checker too. all free
www.netscape.com you don't have to pay to use their browser at all its free.

Ad-Aware SE Personal - It's main cause is to scan your computer for Adware but it also scans Spyware, Malware, Trojans, Dialers, and other bad stuff along the way.

AVG Free - Our school uses it. It's a very good antivirus software and can also scan what
Ad-Aware SE Personal. It has a resident shield just like Avast! Antivirus which scans anything
getting into your computer such as Temp files and all that stuff.

Mozilla Thunderbird - This is just like Outlook Express, in fact, it is even better than
Outlook Express! It has got a very smart Spam filter.

Windows Defender - This is from Microsoft, and is very good, it looks like a replacement for an antivirus program, although it is not an antivirus program. Pretty good program.

Acrobat Reader 7.0 - You need this for .pdf files.

LeechGet 1.5 - This is a very good download manager. Not all download managers are the best at everything but LeechGet 1.5 should suprise you. It also has a few things that are weird though below:

Once I set a speed profile for it and made it
512KB, and it downloaded 50MB in one go on my 28k, this is no bull.
I don't think the program actually downloaded the part properly but still LeechGet is the best for me, it's pretty cool and weird.

I uninstalled it because I basically left a download on the list too long and it disappeared for no reason but the program still said it was downloading.

All the download managers I have ever downloaded have something you hate in them though, LeechGet should be the closest to perfection for me.

I slipstream XP with all current updates, and make most of my configuration changes with nLite so my system comes online just how I want it, with just a few tweaks left.

Finish system config
Install all drivers
MS Office
Nero
CuteFTP
Winamp
Photoshop
Acrobat Pro
MSN Messenger
Crimson Editor
my local webserver

And that's about it.. I don't install much else unless I need it...

You use DIZzy steve?
