software to design an extension?

anyone know of any good easy to use proggys that i could use to design an extension for my house?

maybe just something simple as i`m still only toying with the idea

3D home design is pretty cool. It's like CAD but geared for houses. You can even do landscaping and add interior stuff

Yeah. There was another one that my other sister used when she was in an interior design class but I forgot the name.

now i have to learn how too use it lol
just spent a while plotting a plan of my house and forgot to select 2 storeys hehehe

if your really cool you'd use AutoCAD .. but it's pricey and dificult to use lol

hehe grand design

wish i could afford grand lol

just toying with the idea of building above the garage,but the trouble is it`s only single skin

have to weigh up the disruption and more importantly the cost

this is my ground floor plan,the shaded area indicates the size of my upstairs at the moment.as you can see i would gain quite a large area.
