Windows XP Pro x64
Got the full version of this, installed a few programs and everything seems to be working. Windows runs at amazing speeds. 32bit programs run a little faster. The few 64bit apps fly!
Drivers can be a pain to find, but I found EVERY driver for my home computer and my laptop (Which Acer sais IS NOT compatible with x64 and will not be anytime soon even tho it's got a Turion 64 cpu :rollseyes. A good place for drivers is http://www.planetamd64.com I only found one thing that does not work, zone alarm pro. They say they will have a version out before the end of 2005 for x64 so I gotta wait for that. Some anti virus does not work either, but avast has a FREE version that does. I hear it's pretty good but I don't use it. I hear the punkbuster will not work under x64. I cannot confirm this yet since I have only installed x64 on my laptop and it won't run the games I have that require punkbuster. Will try on my home computer in a bit and report back. So far I got working: System Mechanic Photoshop 7, 8.0CS, & CS2. CuteFTP Pro 6.0 Firefox has a 64bit version. Office 2003 Pro. Nero Ultra Winamp DVD Decryptor DVD Shrink Alcohol 120% Putty (for ssh) MSN Messenger 7 Crimson Editor Infranview MS Anti-spyware Opera 8.* Winrar 7zip .NET Framework Adobe Acrobat Land Warriror Delta Force 1 Delta Force 2 Task Force dagger BlackHawk Down Delta force xtreme And that's about all I have tested. To bad zone alarm dosen't work, i'd really like that for it's program control since I have windows firewall and my router which makes a great firewall. Tiny personal firewall has a x64 version. I tried that and I think it blows the big one. It's constantly poping up and asking what to do and it's pretty confusing. Plus it took up ALOT of resources.

Windows Version
Windows Versions I know out of XP is the Home Edition, Media Center, Professional and the 64-bit Professional that may mean 64-bit programs fly just like how Panther said. Panther I saw a list of programs he tested. A lot of programs.
Something out there and that is Battlefield 2 is getting popular. I do not know if Battlefield 1 is hanging in there but I feel it is related with the Battlefield 1942. Battlefield 1942 is average. To me because I have trouble hosting or joining a multiplayer game when I played it at an Internet Cafe. An inspirational feeling that Black Hawk Down is a good game. Anyway all of you people I want to tell you be on the lookout in a few days on the Generals Section of the forums area. It is nothing scary, nothing stupid. Having a good visit but I am not going to reveal too much by the thread talk. Chris_OJB_DF645 --XP Talk

All in all, I have found very few programs that will not work with xp x64. The main ones are firewalls, anti-viruses and drivers. Almost every other program seems to work fine, including all my games. Punkbuster also seems to be working which means bf2 should work fine. Windows XP x64 does come with windows firewall so you aren't completly open, and there are a few anti viruses out now. All you really need to upgrade is a 64bit cpu (getting cheaper every day) and make sure you can find drivers for your hardware BEFORE you purchase or upgrade.
