i think NL have made a smart move by making a PS version of DF but i also think they have made a big mistake by neglecting the PC market so far by not announcing any plans about a new df game for the pc.

im pretty sure they could borrow a few things from commanche which would reduce development costa and they would dam sure make a profit from it, i mean its their biggest seller and the df community is growing all the time.

maybe they got fed up with all the ****ty emails they keep getting. i love LW but with all these new war sims comming out like operation flash porn and ghost peeon df is under threat for sure

as far as multiplayer....LW can't be touched by those two crappers. GR is just unplayable for me in multiplayer; the lagg i got was so bad it cuased bugs and junk like me character would just get stuck running in a direction and not stop! plus i can't stand see a path and not being able to walk that way!!! one would have to know the map perfectly in order to survive playing on those type maps! as far as OFP...never tried it online....still trying to figure out single player.


forgot to add this...as for console games goes, they should have done this along time ago! from what i've seen of the pics for the ps2 version it looks like a cross from DF1 to LW. hope it comes with a map editor for it also!!! but...i'm not holding my breath on that one!

Console market is where the money is so if you want developments for PC then you have to allow developers to go console from time to time to build up their cash to develop new games for other formats.
Industy speculation is that Commanche, is a pre-cursor for a df4 and that if anything its existaence almost proves a secret development of DF4.
However, I have not seen Jet Set Willy 15 out yet, so perhaps that tells you something. Maybe DF is a title that has run its course.

Maybe they will hold back on the PC side of DF4 due to raise more money ? after all if it came out on PC first i think the PS sales would not be as strong. And as ZZ said another game might be the platform for it and they are testing out a new engine or something like that. They might want to drag out the last of the sales of DF3 as Stevie said its only been out in the UK for 8 mths. With running DF1/2/3 servers the cost of a server for DF4 would prob kill them i think so it might be another 6 mths or more b4 we see DF4 on PC if it happens. After all the last patch for LW was not that long ago. I would be happy to see No Logic pass the codes out (to the right people) so expantion packs can be made with new builds and stuff.
