Do you guys update your topsite?

I have been waiting for my entry to propogate and have noticed that your numbers haven't moved in 30 hours.

Do you update weekly? Monthly? Yearly?

I hope you update more often than your squad links are checked. You have about 5 dead links for every good one.

The top50 has been causing problems with the server and I have not had the time to work on it for the longest time. I have so much other stuff going on right now..

I think you miss the point here.

How is it disrespectful to ask for common courtesy?

I signed up for a top site that is supposed to be beneficial to both sites involved. I placed the NovaHQ Button on my site.

They got a link to their site from me. I got a non working top site from them with no notice.

My last site generated just over half a million page reads in 7 months. This site should blow it away. My traffic sees the NovaHQ button. My site isn't even on their list.

OK I have people reporting in my forum that the top site here hasn't updated in 3 months. Are you telling me it was too difficult, to find the time, within 3 months, to post that the topsites is currently not working, so that all of the squads that have been signing up within that time would have some warning that they would only serve as a link to this site?

I'm sure the admins around here would find the time for someone who flagged up this issue if their attitude didn't stink. They may do something about it now that someone has let them know what's up - but i doubt they'll do it for your sake.

In the mean-time i suggest you just take the novahq top50 link off your site until Scott has found the time to fix it in his very busy schedule and stop throwing accusations around.(i.e. implication that the top sites is only there to generate traffic for novahq)

Guys chill out.. Your right, we should have posted a notice on the top50 itself. I posted it in the news awhile ago and was going to post a notice but forgot. Signups are disabled now..

Funny you should mention a refund. I don't think you will have to worry about me donating to this site. I will remove your Link banner from my site.

I hope you don't treat all of your guests like this when they point out something that isn't fuctioning properly.

The staff were not hostile - it was purely me and for that i apologise (not whole heartedly of course). I am not staff. And Steves refund comment was clearly in jest.

I was just jumping (i admit now unnecessarily) to the staffs defense when you made your posts. Probably because it didnt look like you were simply pointing out that something isn't functioning properly. It looked more like you were having a go at the staff for the topsites not functioning properly - which is the reason i felt compelled to post.

And even had my attitude been out of sorts my complaint was legitimate.

geez such a big deal over a couple of hits, nice to see some good community spirit.

we build up and run a df community for amost 5 years without charging a single penny and as soon as REAL LIFE (come back when any website is more important to us than our private lives) stuff takes a priority for a couple of months, there is always someone to try and cause a disruption and bring you down.

i'll label this clearly so you understand:

seriously if this is is such a big concern, then you must have a perfect life with a a great family and tons of money - if this is the case then you're one lucky guy... if not then you need to go and sell your computer and take a step outside into the real world.

What is your deal?

I came here and said your top sites wasnt working and asked how often it updated.

Attitude came from your forums and your admins.

I didn't ask for special treatment, however I did expect the staff here to have respect for a guest lodging a simple complaint about one of their services not working.

If it is any consolation, after Scott's post, I stated in my forums that the matter had been resolved.

Then you have the nerve to make accussations that I lack community spirit and am just here to bring you down?

Had Scott made his reply first, had I not been attacked here for lodging a question, had the admins here not been bent on being condescending, this would have been a non issue.
