Problems Updating PunkBuster?

Evenbalance has released a new client version of PunkBuster. Many players are having trouble updating to this version in-game and I strongly suggest manually updating with the procedure below:


PunkBuster (JOTR) Player Client Files
The following files are only needed if your PunkBuster doesn't update by itself. Right click the appropriate links below and choose "save as" to your "pb\htm" folder - make sure the file you save is saved with the filename shown below. Players only need the files that correspond to their Operating System, Server Admins need all six files.

PB Client v1.132 for Win32 Filename: wc001132.htm

PB ClientA v1343 for Win32 Filename: wa001343.htm

i have problems w/ punkbuster, i dont even know what it does, lol

it keep cheaters out of a server that is using it, and if a member even try to get in and using a trainer or edited any files in the game PunkBuster ban them off the back.

if a member try to get into a server and it not enable they get punted out with a notice tell them it has to be enable to play in that server.

it a service that is paid by Novalogic.inc for thier servers to watch over and help them keep it clean of cheaters

i find if the firewall is set to high it will block PunkBuster (EvenBalance)

i had to disable the Intrusion Detection System, it was blocking PunkBuster.

Its very much like ARGUS for BHD. But, the only difference, is this atchaully works. ARGUS is'nt 100% leagle, and Punkbuster comes with joint ops and is the official cheat blocker.
To be honest with you, argus doesn't work that well atall , and punkbuster does. And there you have it.
