not getting it

i have the dev-C++ compiler but i cant get any examples here to work.i need a step by step tutorial explaining every button i need to press to get the program to work.im using som of bones examples.Also, im going to start more in Java but what do i need and how do i get started?

Tutorials tutorials tutorials, and lots of time to study.
You have to figure out stuff yourself, if you only look in a tutorial and press the buttons they say you'll only learn to read instead of program yourself.

I'd say learn what the different functions and classes etc do. Then start of with trying to replicate them, and when you can replicate them, write your own.
