audio DVD format? Dolby Digital Vs LPCM

I find when i make a DVD same video clip using the audio format some reason Dolby Digital its a lot smaller

is Dolby Digital better then LPCM format? when playing a DVD back.

LPCM is uncompressed audio, so basically it offers totally lossless sound quality.

however chances are that #1 if it's something that you have recorded (home film, or recorded from tv caputre etc), then you would have lost enough sound quality for it not to be worth it anyway, and #2 unless you are playing on some high end equipment, then you wont be able to tell the difference between the types

I'll use Dolby Digital then sounds a lot better anyways.

i record my TV-programs to DVD so it would sound like stereo or Dolby Digital anyways.

still would i be about to place more movie file size on the DVD then.

make the speed SP and fill it more say it runs over 2hrs, being more compress file size on it & not going over 4.7gb? would that still work ok
