Need help with editor

I'm having a hell of a time with this editor. I can't make it rain or snow.3/4 of the time the A.I. don't do what their told and if I do get them to follow a waypoint 90% of the time they start walking around in circles at waypoint 1-1. Most of the time if I try to use the tiles the thing causes an error. I'm pullen out hair and need some help.

Not many use snow and rain features because it causes extreme lag on most maps especially if you dont do it right when setting it up!!!!! Ive heard several postings stating they cause lag when you use them!!!!!

Have you looked in the general settings for the rain and fog?


Visor, if you hear things it doesnt mean it is true. Fog does not create lag in a way you will notice it slowing down your gamespeed. It improves your gameplay with lower vidcards due to the lesser amount of buildings and terrains visible.

KU43, i´ll see if i get any probs with using tiles. Maybe a reinstall of the editor will be sufficient?


PS wich editor are you using? NILE or MED?

Katana take a deep breathe now put on your glasses so you can read!!!! where in the heck did i say fog made it in my post can you please point it out cause i dont see it!!!! Dont try to edit it either!!!! I simply said snow and rain may on some games now read and review before you talk!!!

i am trying to add maps to the dfx demo. i can put maps into demores.pff by either extracting with a pff utility. or using a ms-dos bat file. but the maps are missing a file to play them on the demo, they dont even show up when trying to host, but when you go to single player there they are. when trying to load it say maps cannot be loaded . this you are trying to use something that has not been activated.
