sounds dumb 2 me

ive been watching the news fer a few days wondering how bad alabamas going to get it from hurricane dennis and have noticed something, everytime there is a hurracane those people on the coast rush to the stores to get plywood and generators and its usually the same ones that rushed the last hurracane, i remember 1 year that there was 2 small hurracanes the wasnt even a month apart from eachother
and after the first came thru they threw the plywood away and sold the generators and had to rush to by more in 3 weeks later,

im wondering why dont thes people get a small shed and put the plywood and generators in it so they dont have to rush to get supplies the next time around.

feel sorry for them, i live down Miami long all go a hurricane Andrew hit us there was a lot damage from it some places still have not recover from it.

they getting smack a lot there.

if they live in hurricane zone they should have got what they need before a real hurricane come their way and not wait till last minuted to get supply's:

canned food for 90days of

good 1500wat generators

bottle water 5gal 20+ last for 2-3mo

60gals of fuel in fuel containers of some type

plywood they should be a stander put out of the way for theirs use only

personal items and hygienics items for each person put into a small bag.

a real first-aid kit come with everything, there are some like campers first-aid kits a lot more items in it then a stander first-aid kit has.

don't be call 911 not till the hurricane is totally gone, the police and fire dept will not go into a hurricane when it is in the area.

have a cell-phone is a plus when power and telephone lines are down you still can call using a cell-phone.

a lot of trash bags to use for clothing to keep them dry and not damp.

Yeah, you'd think after buying and selling several generators they'd catch the hint that if they stuck with one it'd be less of a hassle.

where do you need a generator for? Its just plain luxury, i bet that when you hav ebeen hit by a hurricane, you have better things to spend youre money on.

All you need is enough food and water for 90 days like Chief stated. And something to cook on. Thats really all you need.
Clothes arent even necessairy to have a closet full of clean cloths... You can wear your underwear 4 days, after 2 days just turn it inside out.

But no most people think that they still need to have all the luxury after theve been struck by a hurricane.
Man those people should come along on filed exercise... Just MRE´s ( 3 lies for the price of 1 : Meal Ready to Eat, Not a meal, Not ready and un eateble ) for 4 weeks or longer, and no showering.

im not saying everybody has it like this, but the vast majority will.
