[DFBHD] Problem with DF BHD Team Sabre

Hello,

Everytime I want to join a server like ak47, the game will disconnect in 5 seconds. So I can walk around for 5 seconds and then the game disconnects.

My ping is 80 - 300 in those 5 seconds.

Is this a familiar problem, and more important: How to fix it?

Hi Runalf.

It may not be you if that's what you're worried about.

The host server (the one hosting the maps) may have a ping limit set.

So you're auto-punted from the server after 5 seconds or so if your average ping over that period is above the limit set.

Commonly the range set is around 100 - 250ms (1/10 to 1/4 of a second)

Some host settings are as low as 80ms and some servers allow up to 300ms or so.

Don't quote me but I recon the lobby server will also punt you you're over 450ms.

think Teamsable was a mod one buy and in the game if i recall right (been some time i play it) you need to select what servers you like to play BHD or BHDTS in option. not 100% my Cd broken some time all go for that BHD/ TS mod

Do you mean the OP may have tried to play on the wrong server type?

A BHD server - not a TS Server?

AFIK there are 3 sorts of server for BHD - default, expansion and mod.

Wouldn't the wrong mod punt you before you hit the map?

btw answer; some time if the mod is install you may see the map for 100 of a sec, then punted out
special if it password needed for the server
