You are unique Chief as the only person I have ever heard of having TeamSpeak screw up their system and hog all the resources.

I would get onto Teamspeak website and read their support forums fully because although I have no idea what happened to you, there is noone else on earth with your story so I suspect somethign esle happened.

You don't need third part anything to run Teamspeak one thousand times more clear and sexy than Roger Wilco.

Don't miss out mate, adapt and survive.
We are dieing to chat to you.

Take your pick: gaming online live chatterbox tools

1.)
Rogerwilco: "other who use it click-here read it"

Note:
Roger Wilco is a small, standalone application that allows you and your friends to talk to each other while playing multiplayer games online. Command your team of mechs, or taunt your enemies as you hunt them down. Warn other players of potential hazards or trick them into a dragon's lair. The program works with most existing games, such as Half-Life, Quake III, Diablo II, Tribes 2, Unreal Tournament, StarCraft, and just about any other online multiplayer game. In addition to games, Roger Wilco will work with ICQ so you can chat verbally with your nongaming friends. You talk to the other players by either pressing a single key or by setting up Roger Wilco to be voice-activated. You don't need a second sound card, just one capable of full-duplex audio, and a microphone. Roger Wilco supports thousands of users on a channel without the need for a dedicated server, and a 14.4Kbps modem is sufficient (28.8Kpbs or higher is preferred) ADSL/cable/T!-T3.
This new version has an integrated channel browser, so users no longer need to rely on swapping IP addresses by instant messenger, e-mail, and so on. The built-in channel browser displays a list of all channels currently running. Additionally, this release features autopatching and a new Base Station tab, allowing users to launch a dedicated Roger Wilco Base Station if they so choose.

Added note:
Talking trash has been taken to a whole new level with Roger Wilco. Although it's geared toward online gaming, the software actually offers some of the easiest IP-based voice communication around. The no-nonsense interface makes connecting with others a cinch. Simply create a channel and invite one or several of your friends to sign in. You can then speak freely using a hot key or by simple voice recognition. Users with older machines or slower connections might be less enamored of the system. To get good voice quality, the software requires a lot of bandwidth, a full-duplex sound card, and a fair amount of processor power. Heavy-duty hardware is all the more mandatory if you're running a processor-grubbing game at the same time.

2.)
Team speak: "other who use it click-here read it"

Note:
TeamSpeak is an application that allows users to talk to each other over the Internet. It was designed specifically to run in the background of online games. The voice quality and hereby the bandwidth usage is configurable and can be low for modem users or as good as normal phone calls for better connections. Still the client's maximum bandwidth won't exceed 25.9 KBit/s (=3.3 KB/s) upstream. TeamSpeak uses as little latency as possible, which makes TeamSpeak one of the best online gaming communication programs.
TeamSpeak has a lot more features than these basics, but even unexperienced users don't have to be scared. As TeamSpeak is divided into a server and a client application, advanced users can set up a TeamSpeak server, which is so to say the meeting point for the clients. This means that beginners can just fire up the client, connect to a server and talk to their friends. After the first small steps they will discover a whole variety of features that give TeamSpeak a high rating when it comes to voice chat tools as well.

TeamSpeak is a contribution to the gaming community and thus it is completely free for non-commercial users. Please read the license information for more details.

may be you did not understand what i said before bud? i clear it up some for you, it did not hog resources as you stated it leech on to the driveir and did not let go of them so only my headset was the only thing that did work and my system Pc speak were no more usefull at all.

why it did that don't know why at all and it all so leech onto the Mic to will not let go of them at all, for other thing to use them. sorry it is good as long as you like to only use a headset.

To me it has one to many bugs i'll stick to Rogerwilco it works for me and it been updated to boot. and my system speaker are good and use again for my DVD and other items to be use. and i can use my mic to mix with sound track i make up again.

This is horse poop. It has been seen as a virus by McAfee and Symantec but in fact it was the definitions of the respective companies that were at fault and updates have taken this sillyness away.
It was never a dodgy TS file.

yeah, Ive knwon the guy for a while. When he says something, he means it, unless something happens. but, other than that, he has made every deadline he has ever said.

The keypress.dll virus 'incident' was only a claim. Nobody can verify it OR deny it.

TeamSpeak's security is near 100% more secure then Ventrilo or Roger Wilco or, to say the least, BattleCom.

I enjoy TeamSpeak and enjoy the fact that NovaHQ has a server. I will be on it frequently.
