Hi i dont no much of HTML and all so i was wondering if any1 is kind enough to make me a site with a template from www.clantemplates.com. i would really appreciate this and so would my clan members. ty very much for the people that could help

well i just need help setting up a site that u can DL from www.clansitemanager.com. like where its all the way. shows the nav bar on what i want. the news and stuff all of that. so if some1 can help that would b kool.

looks pretty simple...just pick the 1 u like then download it and install it on ur webspace...and thats it...if u want to customize it more you can

most templates and CMSs that ive came across are like that...

if ur making a website i would go with a nuke site or vbportal and then customize your graphics or colors from there...its fairly simple to do...

right now im in the middle of a big site rebuild and we are starting from scratch and may end up building our own CMS

ive used http://vbportal.com for the past 4 years and have been very happy with them...they are intigrated with vbulletin so the forums are done just had to edit the colors and some of the layout for custom side blocks...its realy quite easy once you figure out what you want to do

ive used phpnuke and post nuke and they were easy to understand too and there is a huge customize base out there just like vB but nuke uses phpBB which sucks as a message board but a good start if you want to learn and then you can go from there

well cuz dont u need winzip to DL the template lol. well c evertime i DL a template it always just comes up something that ihave to buy winzip for 30$. and another thing i dont really understand/no HTML that very well so is there anyway that some can DL it for me and send me the script. is that possible? im sorta new at all of this and im tired of CSM lmao. meaning www.clansitemanager.com. i have to sites with them and i hate it. i meen it comes with almost everything u need for free. but its not what i like. u cnt change templates. its only one type lol. but if any1 is will to at least send me the script of the template or however u want to say it that would be kool. but if some1 iss will enof to help me on it my MSN ID is ray_rupley89@hotmail.com. if u want me to post the templates that i want here ill do that as well when i come and c this page in a couple of hours. ty. ttyl.

funny ive never had to pay for any zip program...windows is able to unzip and zip any file (called compress)


u can right click on any file on ur desktop (or anywhere else) and "Sent To..." "Compressed (Zipped) Folder"

u shouldnt have to use winzip

Without wanting to sound unhelpful, it sounds to me that you would be better off having another member of your squad look at the internet side of things.

If you are struggling to unzip something onto your hard drive and need help customising a template then it is unlikley you are of a standard that is going to deal easily with FTP protocols and forum administration.

I would recommend spending $10 on a HTML book and learn the basics before asking questions like that here.
If you have no knowledge, it is unlikley anyone here will have the time or ability to get you up to speed over a forum.

you already have a FREE HTML (or any other webpage script editor) on your computer as we spead (type)

those u can create web document and edit and save

ive used them for years and just recently got Dreamweaver MX 2004 and Contribute 3 for my latest project - which does make things a lot easier but i had to pay for them

check them out at Macromedia.com - or at least try them out at Free Trials

Dreamweaver is a good solid versatile but expensive program.
If, when you get good at it as wel, its a pain recoding the stuf DW makes.
I would go with GI JOE first suggestion.
Notepad. But you will have to buy a book first or go to one of the many great teaching sites.
