But i think www.hotscripts.com do it cheaper than that panther!

ok... phpbb is having so many problems. it works, then it doesnt, now its totally screwed... what are really awesome free forums besides phpbb and Xmb?

You can get vB for $85 but you will not own the copy and its a licence for on year. It dosnt cost $180, it costs $160 for an owned licence with one year of updates and access to the member area

dammit phpbb!!! i have installed it 4 different times... and i get errors every ****ing time and no one on the support forum will help... looks like i have to go to cheapass xmb

first, i couldnt see the administration panel... then after a while i couldnt logout.. then i couldnt go see any of the posts, then the mysql didnt work so everything crashed on the forums... and everyone else had the same problems there too... then i upgraded it... it was fine, then it skipped everything and went straight for the mysql crashing. so... after taking a soothing bath, I deleted everything and then reinstalled everything, and i did it by cpanel so i knew everything would be uploaded. so about an hour of uploading went by and the damn thing didnt work once so ever... so... to everyone out there... DONT USE PHPBB!!!

they do have a fully functining copy for free, they just call it a trial to scare people, ive been using it for months

i like invision better than phpbb. they say phpbb2 fixed a lot of problems. but u cant just patch holes in a faulty program. they should've made it right from the beginning.
=D i'ma advertise and show u an example http://som-squad.com/game_forums/index.php that's invision with an edited skin. i used invision for a long time and never had any problems with it. i wouldnt pay for vb.

u get what u pay for...
ive been using vB for over 3 years now and have never had a problem i couldnt fix... and the hacks out there to personalize it r great... vB just had a huge upgrade and it looks great...many new features... even some of the protals r good... vBIndex, vBAdvanced, vBPortal (the 1 we use) is the best but costs $20 but way worth it compared to the free protals that dont have as much in the way of features and customability Check It Out Here http://vbulletin.com <-- vB http://vbulletin.org <-- vB Hacks http://vbportal.com <-- vBP
