Flares on VX-Mod (Cavebear)

When flying the helicopters your opponents can use Stingers on you, however I cannot find a defense such as flares. I read somewhere that there are flares on the choppers. What is the command to release flares or is there another defense?

i think since it can only be used in multiplayer. If you were, only the passengers can press space to deploy flares

The machines I fly are single pilot like the Littlebird.

i dont own DFX but i do have JO and know that JO and DFX are extremely similary and can even share map editors.

what i know about the little bird is that its a 2 seater and the passenger needs to hold space to deploy flares
