Nope your wrong, Modding is supported the mod has to be cleared by NovaLogic before its released, If it has been made properly it will work with PB.

your option is the better one.

and you would need to stay away from any novaworld servers and no then will happen in Punkbuster other then you get punted out do to it not enable. beat getting banned for the mod.

but again if Nova see's the jotr.exe is change anyway they can ban you right off the back. or the shortcut target been edited so the game go to a mod.

will i pass on any Mod for the game totally.

did you know you can play halo in BF: 1942 using a mod by sides Starwars

sorry i for one don't care for any mod for JOTR to do with NW stated they will ban any one using a MOD. i staying away from all mod's for JOTR. i do mean from any 3rd party out side Novalogic.Inc

ok thanks did not know they change their mind about it letting JOTR be moded outside.

thats cool even if it moded they will have the finnal word on it if its ok to use in JOTR and have PunkBuster back up on it too.

you may have to post it up on a url do to the size then let them download it to check it out, put a link into the e-mail were they can download it some mods can get really big in file size.

i seen mod's for BF:1942 get as big as 100-600mb in file size

you can make maps that has always been ok, and now you can make up alnew mods for it now too, with NL & PB ok on the mod you can use it and share with others.

if the mod has not been ok there going to be some banning going on. all MOD have to be ok by Nova & PunkBuster stamp of ok first.

What do we use to make map? Is there a Tutorial out there for it?

DD you need to download NILE its novas new Map Editor, Its still Beta but it is stable now, But a few things still need to be added for coop and the use of area triggers ect.

But You can make them if you know How to use WAC files, But basic TDM,TKOTH,FB,CTF(these 2 only work properly with JO:E),S/D,A/D ect can all be made at the moment with Nile Editor, But when you download it make sure you Update to the latest version with the Update exe in the Installed folder.

it by novalogic.inc i hope so they are the one making it and releasing it to the pubic, they are still working on it to make it better.

it not the same as DF: Serials older days map editer in the pass it work in a new way take time to get use to.

Installation

WARNING! DO NOT INSTALL NILE INTO A GAME DIRECTORY! DOING SO MAY DAMAGE THE GAME AND REQUIRE A RE-INSTALL.
NILE SHOULD BE INSTALLED INTO ITS OWN FOLDER.

_Setup

The first time that Nile runs it will request you to locate the game directory. Simply select the folder that you have Joint Operations installed in and press the OK button. If you change install directories you can locate the new directory through the File|Preferences menu item.

Help

Help documentation is available through the Help menu. Or you can seek help in the 'Maps and Mods' forum at http://www.novaworld.com.

Updating

Nile can easily be updated through the Help | Update menu item, or by running the update.exe from the Nile install directory. Check for updates frequently. Nile will have many new features and changes for the indefinite future.

Yes DD its legal, as chief said it is novas new editor, And I personaly think its a 100X better than the old Med, But some just cant get used to NILE they prefure the old MED.

yea if you dont doit pb will bust you even if its turned off and your serving why ,you have to remember that theres the client side then the server side then theres the Nova side
