Everyone registered on this site has been given a rename token so all you guys and gals waiting for a name change can go ahead and do it!

Also:

- Make sure you rename the right character. You have only been given one token.

- Character names must not violate Terms of Service. We reserve the right to remove a character name that is in violation and your token will not be refunded.

If you've used a rename token, and you need to rename your primary character again, you must pay NovaLogic $7 bucks via PayPal. I guess this is a way to get money and stop cheaters from renaming (and if cheaters do rename lol they have to pay).

On another subject...

EvilMaker made an announcement on NW2, "The War on Cheaters"...

There has been a lot of feedback from the community regarding cheating, and many of you have provided suggestions (both good and bad) as to how we might address this. We have carefully considered all suggestions so far and weighed the various pros and cons of each solution. While it is unlikely that new anti-cheat measures could be integrated into past games, we certainly plan to incorporate new features, rules, and Terms of Use into the Novaworld2 website and future Novalogic games, that combat cheating (and piracy too) in an effective manner.

In the coming weeks and months we will be unrolling a number of changes to Novaworld, some of which are specifically to target cheaters. Although we believe these changes are for the greater good of the community, it is inevitable that some of you will disagree with our decisions. Just be aware that a lot of thought and consideration was put into this and that the majority of players will hardly be affected at all by these changes.

All old NW1 accounts work on NW2.

And you can't upgrade to Premium or Plus either. They're still kinda experimenting with the permissions.

Those who registered early got Plus (yay, me!), and those who registered a long time after get Basic. I don't think anyone's got Premium yet...
