they need to have a new outlook on their game totally and not trying to out do other games software with the same theme. get boring real fast.

me i would go the way of mad max theme in that line! no one has done it and you have all the crazy normal weapons to boot with the trucks, jeep, tanks, personal carrier, beside boats and planes. hell even a beat up old mail truck refortify with rockets going 140mph on a run down old highway.......go in a whole new theme

the world gone to hell type of theme

DF: 2037 hell

it don't even need to be a Scifi ether all the normal stander weapons to it.
=========
DF: angle Falls will i don't know that going to release it or fold up for good hate to see that happen.

I aggree with Obraino that Nova has to use a different look and feel with Angel Falls to avoid just looking like another release of DFX.

You know you're in trouble when all of your fan base is screaming for new content and you stop listening.

EA bought a minority steak in NL back in the mid 90's, I havent heard that theyve sold out but I dont know for sure if the situation was changed. The impression I got from the execs at EA was that it was pretty much a deal to give NL the distribution network of EA and EA get paid via the steak in the games...

And the next generation editor (Mapping is key to the series survival?).

As one might say ....THE PARROT IS DEAD, DONE ...DECEASED, strange but true, just like Angel Falls, a real pity but thats life, the only way I'm gonna fly a V22 is on my old FS2004
that was a mod and built by an arab of questionable character.

Yeah, I aggree ! Imo, mappers add additional dimentions to the game , and can add an extended life on the game itself with new maps.

I don't believe DF:JO, DF:BHDTS, DFX & DFX2 would have lasted as long as they did without all the help from the mapping community.

Absolutely, considering the level of development in some current games.

I whole heartedly agree with the premise that fresh maps extended the longevity of the mentioned titles, and your awesome contributions have not gone unnoticed. (dave61 was instrumental in solving my physic mapping dilemas)

It would have been nice to see Nova release a new map once in a while... but being an avid supported since 1998, NL was never known for customer support. I have yet to convince myself to buy DFX2 if they can't seem to fix the stats of DFX in 18 months...

AF would have to provide a new level of customer support for me to be interested in it.
