Thank you for your post SK, please understand not everyone here can relate to a condition of having to stand up for yourself, I imagine many here have never used or have to have used a firearm, to defends themselves or others.
In many parts of the world one has only to complain to their mother, teacher or boss for them to be resolved, in other parts, the real world one must do this oneself, and defend ones friends, property or yourself, by whatever means available.

I suggest you get a dog, with good hearing, the dog may hear people coming for miles.
But remember they do need to go for walks, and that means exercise for you...???? lol
I agree with your sentence about the cops, they've gone soft in this PC correct world.

yeah too right. probably not alot of people here know what it's like to be in situations like this. excluding KB, I'm sure he's gone thru far worse.

and what's worse about the cops that complained about getting their shoes muddy, it took them 40 minutes to get to my house! if that were a real situation of someone breaking in, I'd be dead and in the ground by that time! and at that time I didn't have any gun or weapon at all for defence.

everyone should have some kind of firearm for protection. I have a 22 cal rifle. it's not much but it'll have to do until I can get something bigger. me and my dad are looking to buy an AK47 somewhere. just can't find one at a good price..... only problem is, here in my state, you have to be 20 feet from your attacker before you can actually defend yourself with a gun, otherwise you'll be joining him in prison under charges of assault with a fire-arm. which is stupid, what if your attacker is 50 feet away shooting at you?

well it's too late matt for no offence, like I said, I don't care weather you belive me or not. this is mermites thread, not yours we can chat if we wanna.

and 2nd, I've actually posted pictures of my gun before. camra's don't lie. we're looking for either a good rifle like an AK4s or a pistol. we've been looking at some springfield 9MM pistols and we have a local gunshop that sells AK's, they're just too high in price.

well no, don't get the wrong idea. I'm all for peace, I'm just saying that it's good to have a gun for protection. and I'm not dragging on about anything, I'm just giving examples of how a gun has come in handy for my protection.
