maps ????

Can someone tell me how long it usually takes after you sudmit a map for it to show up in the map page and if you do something wrong sudmitting them, will dfhq let you know ? I was a little confused about the part where it say's there is to be no spaces in the file name. i got the read me, the screen shot, and the bms in a folder and put it in a zip file and uploaded the maps. but it said something about "the file extension should say something like-.zip,.rar, ect., and there is to be no spaces in the file name. i uploaded all the maps i have ever made and it took me all night to get them all ready. i think there was 23 of them, and i put my e mail address in the read me's for comments. so if ive done something wrong sudmitting them, please let me know in the forum or via e mail. thankx, and thank for keeping what i think is the best dflw web sight out there.

if you use the Search button you will find other posts about this.

basically we do this for free and in our spare time and we do have job / school etc which takes from 6 to 12+ hours a day. which leaves little time to continually improve and build and add content to the site.

reviewing maps takes a long time and is VVVEEEEERRRYYYY boring im sorry to say, and no one wants to do the job :/ (including me).

Panther working on a new map system which will improve things around here.

i cannot confirm that we have you maps... Panther probably could if you tell us the name of a couple of them.

as for the no spaces in the file name well:

mydfmap.zip - would be ok
my_dfmap.zip - would be ok
mydf_map.zip - would be ok

my dfmap.zip - would be incorrect
my df map.zip - would be incorrect

etc etc

I see, and thanks for the reply. Have you ever considered getting others to help with the map ? Hell, id love to be able to review maps. I cant get enough of making the damn things, reviewing other maps would be the bomb !!! Just wondering.....................
