PCI Video Cards
Hi,

I was just wondering if it is possible to run DF:X with a PCI video card. The box says a directX9.0 AGP video card is required, but I passed all of the tests and most things were set to high.

When I get in game, my screen goes black and the only way to get out of it is to shut down the computer.

My question is: are AGP video cards absolutely necessary for running DFX or is there a way around this?

I got PCI GeForce420X 64MB ... Works fine. Try lowering level to low.

That's weird... Any ideas...?

Edit: Yeah, I changed all the settings to low and the same thing still happens.

I get a black screen. When I click I can hear my gun shooting...

My video card: ATI Radeon 9200 DirectX 8.1 PCI 256MB DDR

Nope, didn't work. I think it is because my card isn't supported.

Try updating

1. Directx
2. Your V Card Drivers
3. Windows Drivers

It was my video card driver...

Unfortunately the game itself isn't what I expected/hoped for.

it more of a updated/upgraded virsion of a older game.

try another game you be more shock on the graphics.

thats why it sell so cheap for USD-20.00

Try grabbing the MOD ... works wonders

Note: Create a separate folder for MOD

That's what I heard, and that's why I bought it. I played the DF series from DF2 - DF:BHD. It seems DF:X is just like BHD... with worse guns.

DevilDog: what's the MOD? Can you give me a link?
