only if your system is acting up go for it, bewarn backup files and temp file will be deleted these are needed for many programs as in Anti-virus and MS office they use Tmp file to keep a backup if you need to use repair if the tmp file are gone there be no repair and you'll get a error on the screen saying something in the line of: file can not be found. you know why it was deleted.

if you use any program to clean your HHD up for junk and save space. many of them have option in them to uncheck file type to be remove look them over before you use it.

my be asker for saving space on one's HHD is go out by a bigger one to add to it.
