remember ,remember.

remember, remember, the 5th of november, the gunpowder treason and plot, i know of no reason for the gunpowder treason to ever be forgot.

today in history a man named Guy Fawkes born 13th April 1570, murdered 31st of January 1606, tried to kill the tyranical king James I of england and take out the tyranical class of this king by blowing up the Houses of Parliament in 1605.

Fawkes like so many others had endured the rule of a madman whos tyranical regime had its subjects taxed todeath and any1 who spoke out was thrown in prision or worse, Fawkes and other that have become to be known as the Gunpowder Conspirators had seen enough and decided to take out this tyranical regime.

the Gunpowder Plot masterminded by a guy named Robert Catesby was an attempt by a group of religious citizens that had seen enough killing under this regime to kill King James the 1st of Great Britain his family and most of the aristocracy by blowing up the House of Lords in the Palace of Westminster during the State Opening of Parliament.

the act of blowing up Parliament was probably left to Fawkes for his military and explosives experience, but he was found out, probably turned in by the man that the gunpowder was bought from, but after the plot Fawkes was branded as a tratior and sentenced to death as to make an example of him by making all those who might have the same idea tremble with fear at the thought of being hanged, remember fear is an exelent controll tool, make big examples and keep the people in fear and you can controll them.

but take this day to remember the 5th of November, and the man who was murdered by a tyranical king.

I wouldn't exactly call James I a tyrant.
There have been a lot worse kings around.

Like most conflicts, the underlying reason behind the plot was religious differences.
They certainly knew how to make an example of people. ( wikipedia.org Hanged, drawn and quartered )

p.s.
I thought they stuck his head on a spike over traitor's gate and sent his body parts around the country.

Most conflicts are pronounced in the name of religion but the purpose is something else.

Lust for power, money, technology...etc.
