Confused Mission editor for bhd??

I remember when the bhd beta came out, that there was a modified commache 4 mission editor that worked for bhd. but i never had time to try it out since the games time retired. does anyone know if that will work for the new mp demo or not?

I personally haven't tried it, but couple of people have, and, I believe BHD Demo blew on their face.

You can find the mission editor under BHD Demo Downloads in Utils section

Cry It's so hard to find good help these days

It would be so cool to be able to download and use the items. I downloaded the BHD mission editor but It's seems the guy that helped build or modify the editor forgot to include where to place the missions in BHD. It also seems they are no longer able to be placed in the games directory.

Where do the bms files go?

Found this in BHDMEDREADME.TXT file that accompanies the mission editor:

"This is definitely a beta! Now only shows objects included in the demo. Thanks DV!

The BMS files must be named either TDMBD_01.BMS or TDMBD_04.BMS. They need to be packed so I have included bat files for packing either map.

Outlines are now shown. Using the "3D wireframe" mode will show the objects in side view.

There may be an issue with the Z values, any feedback will be helpful.

The choppers seem to fly too low. Again, feedback is helpful here!

After exporting the BMS file, run DV's C4BHD.exe to "fix" the BMS before packing it. Thanks again DV!!!

Have fun!"

Plain Mission Editor BHD

I tried this last night but what it actually does is it creates a seperate .pff file then packs the mission with in it. But when you play the game all you see is the 3 missions that were there before.

I know there is a way to run the map I have seen the pics.

Appreciate the help devil dog. Hope to be playing somthing other than the same dull mission soon.

Cool Mystery Solved

I found out how to do it it's actually some what easy but It isn't anything like what the guy said in the read me. There was some problems getting it to run on novaworld my system locked and crashed. You may be able to play it on there I just have to test it again. I am going to be hosting later on on novaworld if I get it up and running.

It's an awsome utility I had to rate it a 9 -1 point because of the readme confusion and building wireframes are X's but it still gets the job done.

Hi, I tried the editor as downloaded in the dfhq.net utils section. The guy that created the editor seem to have forgotten the textures (or something like that), as I have an error message during the use of the editor saying it misses a TGA file.
Also, when I build a map and try to run it in BHD, all I have is the first person view with non-textured polygons (also seem to have a 0 meter visibility...).
Can someone add the "standard" textures or tell me how to fix this problem ?

Thanks guys.

Marc.

I didn get the MED to work either so I basically gave up on the account that I wouldn host anyhow (not good enuff conn).

I did however see 2 files included in that zip called 'pack 01' and 'pack 04' and this would then pack them in your PFF file.
Weird thing is those programs are set to put the map in BETAres.pff and not DEMOres.pff that the demo uses. Anywhoo like I said I gave up .

Another weird thing is ..... after screwing around with the files abit ....... I found all kinds of objects in the MED that arent suppose to be in the MED!! Objects like 'Doortest for Mark Davis' and 'user drive-able boat' ........ I dunno how the heck I got that. Will this mean we get doors and a user-drivable boat in the full version

Ok here's what I got from a friend of mine. "You have to pack and rename your file to one of the 3 exsisting missions in the primary pff. Remeber to back the files up."
