i have not heard anything about NOVAHQ or DFBarracks being hacked at all. Chris were you read this?

Remember that time when there were like 5000-15,000 guests online? Well the BHD maps page didn't load up, I got hacked when I went to NovaHQ that time, and bandwidth was getting sucked up heaps. I assumed that it was, you were online that time according to the ''Users Online'' on the main page. Were you not?

man thats from google search engine looking for words that match, when it see a site with the word in it they count it as a guests on the host site end of it.

i don't count guests as a big thing.

a hacker most case delete or change a site in some ways, mostly delete accounts and change it totally.

some case they may even add somethings to a site a virus or ads of some type. some hackers have been known to leave a image on a site to buster they did it.

don't count the number of people as being a hacker not the same thing,,you way off on that.

if NovaHq or DF Barracks get hacked the site owner would say something about it to the world. sorry chris

I assumed that they were hackers, never said that I was 100% sure they were. And I never used the Google Search as well. :\

it any search engine be it aol, msn, google, yahoo .......ect

they all do it

all it takes is other to use them they search for a site with a word or numbers they search the whole wide web for the item.

i know your new to this chris but all it take some one to search for a item baam who hit a site count as> a guests

Chief, I already know that search engines search for files, programs, words, etc. I've been on computers since I was four (7-8 years), what made you think that anyway?

you don't have to be using it at all, there some people in this world be using it and many sites get hits.

personnel i don't think (recall) Novahq.net or dfhq.net ever been hacked at all.

Steve or Scott would have said something about it or one of the admin here.

There is one form of attacks that target bandwith. so called DOS or DDOS attacks, but if that was the case it wouldnt be 15 000 hits it would be more like 500 000+ and you wouldn't be able to do a thing on that server.

another site gets "defaced" seen it happen alot recently, and most of them seem to display religous meanings (and about only 1/4 of them are for real, the rest seem 2 b just trying to cause hate..)

sony's euro site got hacked by similar people..

well chris, thats a new site we had up. one of the reasons SOUP uploaded the new site is coz the last one was hacked... by the same people apparently... wank**s!

Rite... turns out, the site itself hasn't been hacked... it was the server it's hosted from that was hacked. Should be all up and running again tomorow =)
