nope already look there the folder thats open is not even listed there.
gave up its some other place making this one folder open up all the time when log-in to desktop. it don't matter who log-on ether the crazy folder keep opening as desktop loads up. i lookup in: "startup folder" on both users none shown in this area. "msconfig" it not listed under "startup tab" ether the folder that keep on opening after each log-on is folder: C:\Program Files\Xfire totally clueless why or how come its doing it? think scott said something in another thread about this happing to him too long ago, but i can't seem to find it

Okay, many people have actually had the same problem - only My Documents doing this. What they did was open RegEdit and browse to HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/Winlogon and remove a duplicate of userinit.exe. Since you got an Xfire folder coming up, I was thinking there could be something there that's making the Xfire folder start up.
You could alternatively just search the whole registry for xfire and see if you come up with anything unusual. HijackThis logfile? Chris

Try to download StartupCPL. It's a small program to manage your startup programs. Look for it in there. It may also be opening with xfire, if that loads when your pc loads.

thanks scott
found it here: http://www.majorgeeks.com/download619.html yep that was the bugger that was doing it to me. xfire was not set to startup but the backup part of it was in the back ground, think it was opening the folder incase i like to add something if i like to backup only it as the stander xfire and not the backup part of it, that was in another location in programs area. ether case the folder is not loading up and opening on me anymore.
