i have seen the trailer of DF:UW and i loved it!!!
exists a pc version of this game??
i was wondering...is it possible to build cusom buildings in DF:LW?? with "3di-view" by FwO-Raven is possible to see 3-D models of the objects of delta force, can someone suggest a good program to make/change 3di models???
Maybe the programs used to make mods are youseful, can suggest some??

Yes, you can make custom DF:LW buildings but you need experience in 3DSM/C4D to design them. Then import them into the game.

I believe what FWO used was Bryce 4 or something like that.

I would really talk to the Terra Nova crew. They are the masters.

I tried mailing FWO like 500000 times and got not one reply.

ok, so I was wrong about 3DSM. You don't have to yell. Ask nicely and you get better response.

i didn't mean to argue, i was not yelling, i wac only saying that i downloaded the program and it doesn't handle 3di files, for the community, so if someone reads this thread knows that 3DSM is not the program to make 3di models....sorry if i sounded aggressive!

i did so and never got reply, i think hes not the man to ask to, he knows how to do things, but maybe he doesnt like to tell others...
in fact terranova, novalogic or whoever, could have relased a working and complete version of the mission editor, a program to make buildings and objects and a server utility for hosts, along with the game, but they didn't do so.
In the end is more fun if you have to make an effort to do something you like....@

well, in the end the only program i could get to work correctly in is the pff file manager nad the server manager, bcose the old version of 3di-view works only with df1, and the new version doesn't work at all (on my pc); i installed vb6 runtimes as required but it didn't change things, i just get a runtime error and the program doesn't run....
maybe he's on novalogic crew now......
maybe he's working at DF:X now.....who knows????

yeah, i finally got it: 3di files are made with Crystal Graphics 3D-Impact.
well, i downloaded the program, but when i try to open any 3D file from DF:LW, it says it is not a valid project or model file......

there are other programs that could handle 3di files, i'll try, even if i dont think i'll get any result.......maybe the files in DF:LW are modified just not to allow consumers mess with them or they were made with an old version of 3D-Impact.....

3di's can be handled by 3DSM, there was a plugin made available iirc after BHD was released, hmm NL released MOD Tools or something, but then they decided not to support MOD's :/

ok, thankyou steve! unfortunately the ModTools do work only with blackhawkdown files...

anyways the overviews give some good advice on terrain making, useful photoshop hints...hope to get a new PC soon, and finally upgrade to BHD!!!

PS: what you mean with "but then they decided not to support MOD's :/" ??? well, i mean, it's like thaey don't want gamers to make mods or they effectively eliminated the possibility to make mods in DF???

You can still mod, you will just get banned from their servers.
